- Eight (8) semesters of Religious Studies (40 units) or units equal
to the number of semesters or years in attendance at Archdiocesan school.
- At least 170 secondary units in academic courses to include the following:
- 8 semesters of English (40 secondary units).
- 6 semesters of science (30 secondary units), to include courses
in the biological and physical sciences.
- 6 semesters of social science (30 secondary units) to include
two semesters of United States History, two semesters of world history,
culture, and geography, one semester of American Government, and
one semester of Economics.
- 8 semesters of mathematics (40 secondary units).
- 4 semesters of foreign language (20 secondary units).
- 1 semester of Fine Arts (5 units).
- 1 course in Health Education (5 units)
- Two (2) semesters of physical education or marching band. (This requirement
may be met by participation in interscholastic athletics or by completing
equivalent courses in Bosco Tech's college division.)
- Technology: 40 units in a student's technology major during the 2nd
and 3rd years plus all required technology courses in the fourth year.
Note: Students and parents
should understand that meeting the above minimum requirements for a four-year
high school diploma will not necessarily qualify a student for admission
into a four-year college. Additional courses as well as a minimum GPA
and standardized test (SAT/ACT) scores are required. Students should consult
the section of this Handbook which discusses college admission as well
as contact the College Counselor for additional information.
