Applications are accepted starting in September

Admissions Application:

The admissions application consists of general information questions, a personal essay, recommendations, and transcript forms. Important final due dates:

     
January 24, 2009   Applications with a $75 application/testing fee
February 12, 2009   Essay, Recommendations & Transcripts due
     
Entrance Exam:

All prospective students must take the Don Bosco Tech Entrance Exam.

     
January 24, 2009, Saturday at 9 a.m.
A make-up exam will be offered on Febuary 7, 2009, Saturday at 9 a.m.
     
Fall Open House, Spring Open House & Family Orientation:
     
Fall Open House   Sunday, November 23, 2008 -- 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Spring Open House & New Family Orientation   Sunday, April 26, 2009 -- 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
     
Important Information:
     
November 17, 2008   Financial Aid forms available/accepted
February 1, 2009   Last day to mail financial aid forms to SSS
February 13, 2009   Financial Aid application deadline
March 6, 2009   Acceptance letters mailed
March 20, 2009   Registration Fee due

The admissions process for an incoming student begins with the completion of an Admissions Application/Exam registration form.

The Admissions Application, and the application fee, the required letters of recommendation, and student transcripts should be submitted to the Director of Admissions before the last Saturday of January.

Students are selected from qualified applicants on the basis of the following criteria:

  1. Satisfactory scholastic achievement as demonstrated by the student's transcript of Grades.
  2. Satisfactory scores on the Bosco Tech entrance exam.
  3. Personal qualifications as reported by the student's 8th grade teacher and principal.
  4. Satisfactory citizenship as demonstrated by school records and recommendations.
  5. Personal interview by a member of the Bosco Tech faculty.
  6. Review of the applicant's file by the Admissions Committee.

Upon acceptance each student will be required to submit the following information:

  1. Student Registration Form & Registration fee.
  2. Business Office Contract & Parent Participation Contract.
  3. Big Brother Application.
  4. A copy of Birth or Baptismal Certificate.
  5. A final school transcript reflecting final June grades.
  6. Health Office information packet including:
    • Student Emergency Card
    • Earthquake Emergency Card
    • Student Medical History
    • Physical Examination Form
    • Health Office Medication Policy Statement
    • California School Immunization Record
Normally students enter Don Bosco for the beginning of the 9th grade. Depending on available space Bosco Tech also admits students for the beginning of the 10th grade. More complete information regarding our admissions process is available from the Director of Admissions.
