General Rules of Conduct
- Students should work independently without talking. (When a teacher is supervising, groups of students may work upstairs with permission.)
- Students are expected to abide by all school rules and computer policy guidelines.
- Please do not bring food, drink, or gum into the library. Also, no headsets allowed. The Bosco Tech Library is reserved for students who wish to read and study quietly. Students who refuse to support a quiet and conducive learning environment will be asked to leave.

Online Catalog: Computer station #2 and #3 is reserved for catalog search and check-in is not required. Check Out: All books upstairs are available for a two week check out. Students must present a school ID card. Please note the due date stamped in each book. A 25¢ fine will be charged for each day each book is returned late (excluding weekends and holidays).
Reference/Audio & Video: Selected reference books, audiocassettes, and videotapes are available for a limited loan. These items may be checked out for 1 day. For each day a reference book, audiocassette, or videotape is late a 50¢ fine will be charged. Audiocassettes include titles such as Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Hamlet, and Macbeth. We also carry college and career information videos and CD-ROMs of Kaplan PSAT and SAT Prep.
Reserve: Teachers will occasionally request that selected books be removed from the shelves and placed on reserve for their students. Please see a librarian for a book that has been placed on reserve. Items on reserve may not be checked out from the library.
Computer Use: Students who have filed a Proper Computer Use Agreement with the library will be granted computer privileges. Once an agreement has been filed, students must present a school ID card and sign in at the counter. Please note that Internet use is limited to school related purposes only.
Magazines: Our extensive magazine archive includes more than 20 years of back issues of Time, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, and Scientific American. We also carry Road & Track, Car and Driver, ESPN, Smart Computing, MacAddict, Biography, and Consumer Reports.
Other Services: Photocopying and computer printing is 10¢ per page. Reformatted computer disks are available for 25¢. Monies for reformatted disks go to the Missions fund. Please see a librarian for change. |
